Lumixa is a breakthrough formulation from FB Dermatology, which harnesses the power of Flourescent Light Energy. Lumixa is a biophotonic gel which is activated once placed under an LED light. The biophotonic gel then emits multiple wavelengths of light far stronger than the standard LED treatment alone. This allows it to simultaneously reduce inflammation, destroy acne and bacteria, regulate skin cell production and uplift collagen and elastin production, allowing a holistic approach to skin health. The Lumixa gel comes in two forms; Lumixa Skin Normaliser which is designed for problematic skins, and Lumixa Collagen Booster which is specifically designed for signs of aging. Treatments are comfortable with no discomfort, downtime or prep required. Treatments are recommended in a course of 5 over 5 weeks. For more severe cases, 10 treatments will be required.

Actives including AHA’s, BHA’s & Retinols are to be avoided for 1-3 days post. Avoid excessive sun exposure.

Results are usually seen relatively quickly, with significant improvements sometimes seen in 3-4 weeks from treatment start. A treatment course consisting of 5x treatments is ideal, with 10x treatments being required in some cases.

Those with light sensitive skin conditions, on photosensitive medications, roaccutane use in the last 6 months or cancer in the last two years are not suited to treatment.
